Pastor Edward Townsend
Pastor Edward Townsend serves as Senior Pastor of Living Water Christian Center in Illinois, with his wife Co-Pastor Myrtle Townsend. He is a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a mentor to many spiritual sons and daughters. He is the president of LWCC men's ministry "BAMN" By Any Means Necessary. He accepted Christ as Lord and Savior of his life in 1992. Pastor Townsend began to seek the Lord wholeheartedly for God's purpose and plans for his life. He has a passion to see men and woman set free by the word of God. He served honorably in the United States Navy for four years, he received numerous service ribbons and awards. Pastor Townsend has served on the Board of Directors for shelters that housed the homeless, abused, battered women and children. With this training and love that God has given him for others, he has a vision to truly see people free from oppression. Pastor Townsend was employed by the city of Chicago for 25 years during which time he and other co-workers organized a work place bible study. By the leading of the Holy Spirit many lives were changed and souls were won for the kingdom of God. In his endeavors to reach those who are without hope, he has spent countless hours evangelizing and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in various communities.
